What is Business Aviation?

The working group on business aviation in the Federation of German Industries (BDI) was founded on 22nd June 1970. Since then its task has been to represent the interests of business aviation in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The contribution that business aviation makes through individualised transport to safeguarding competitiveness and business locations is considerable and cannot be replaced by any other means of transport.

Owing to its flexibility compared with other modes of transport, business aviation constitutes a valuable economic asset, offering:

  • greatly more efficient use of time, also in reaching regions where access is limited with other means of transport.
  • avoidance of time being wasted through waiting at airports.
  • enabling the user to fly at the most convenient times and granting the opportunity to work in the aircraft.
  • saving in labour costs through individualised transport of specialists or specialist teams.
  • access to and linking of distant regions to commercial centres.
